Sports nutrition built around your sport

Whether you are competing at international level, chasing a personal best or simply want to train more consistently, the way you fuel makes a difference. We provide personalised 1:1 sports nutrition support covering fuelling, recovery, hydration and competition, shaped around your sport, your training load and your day-to-day life.

Our team is led by Jenaed Ruddock, Founder and Lead Registered Dietitian, who is HCPC-registered and SENr-registered and has worked with Olympic athletes alongside university and academy athletes. Jenaed is Lead Sports Dietitian at Imperial College London and Cambridge University, and has led athlete nutrition at the NEOM Beach Games in Saudi Arabia.

We believe health comes before performance. Persistent fatigue, recurring injuries and menstrual changes should never be treated as a normal part of training, so athlete health and adequate fuelling sit at the centre of everything we do. All consultations are delivered online.

HOW WE WORK WITH ATHLETES

Ongoing support, not one-off sessions

We do not work with athletes on a one-off basis. Lasting change to fuelling, recovery and performance takes time, so after your initial consultation we recommend a minimum of three follow-up consultations.

Questions

How does a sports nutrition consultation work?

Once you book, you activate your Practice Better account and complete our performance and nutrition pre-assessment forms. You then receive a video link for your 60-minute initial consultation, where we assess your training, eating patterns, health history and goals, and agree a plan with you.

Can I book a one-off session?

No. We do not work with athletes on a one-off basis. To make meaningful, lasting changes to your fuelling, recovery and performance, we recommend a minimum of three follow-up consultations after your initial consultation. Follow-up packages of 4, 6, 9 or 12 sessions are available.

How much does it cost?

The initial consultation (60 minutes, self-pay) is £159. An individualised nutrition or meal plan, where clinically indicated, is £75. Follow-up consultations (45 minutes) are £89, and follow-up packages of 4, 6, 9 or 12 sessions are available at £79 per 25-minute session or £89 per 45-minute session.

Do I need to be an elite athlete?

No. We support athletes at every level, from international and university athletes to recreational runners, gym-goers and team sport players. Good fuelling and recovery matter whatever level you compete at.

What is the difference between the £75 plan and the £29 Sports Nutrition Meal Plan?

The £75 plan is written specifically for you after your consultation, where clinically indicated. The £29 Sports Nutrition Meal Plan is a generic, educational resource that is not personalised and is not a substitute for a consultation.

Are consultations online?

Yes. All consultations are delivered online through secure video appointments, so you can access specialist support wherever you train in the UK or internationally.

Can I use private health insurance?

Private medical insurance is accepted with Bupa UK, AXA, Vitality, Aviva, WPA, Healix and Cigna UK, subject to your policy and pre-authorisation. Please see our private health insurance page before booking.
