1. Initial consultation

.The paediatric initial consultation in a dietetic session is a crucial meeting that establishes the foundation for a child's nutritional journey. The dietitian gathers comprehensive information about the child's medical history, growth patterns, dietary habits, and developmental milestones. They engage with parents or guardians to understand family dynamics and food preferences. This thorough assessment helps create a personalized nutrition plan that considers the child's specific needs, promoting healthy growth and development. The consultation also offers an opportunity for parents to seek guidance on feeding challenges and establish a supportive partnership with the nutritionist to foster the child's overall well-being.

2.Follow ups

The follow-up dietetic appointment is an important review to celebrate the child's achievements and progress towards their nutrition goals. The nutritionist and parents discuss the positive outcomes, address any remaining concerns, and adjust the nutrition plan as needed to ensure continued success in promoting the child's health and well-being.
