Online sports dietitian for athletes in Bristol
Online sports nutrition for cyclists, rugby players, open water swimmers and trail runners in Bristol and the South West, built around active commutes and busy weeks.
Active city, demanding weeks
Bristol is one of the UK's most active cities. Many people cycle to work up steep hills, run the trails and gorge paths at weekends, or swim in open water through the warmer months. Rugby union and cricket have strong followings, and university sport adds a large community of student-athletes.
All that movement adds up. A daily cycle commute on top of structured training can leave you short on energy without realising it, and a full rugby schedule places heavy demands on recovery. Our HCPC-registered dietitians and sports nutrition practitioners look at your total weekly load, not just your planned sessions, before building your plan.
Sessions take place online, so you can fit an appointment between work and training without crossing the city. We review your plan as your goals change, whether that is a sportive, a rugby season, a long-distance swim or a first trail race.

Frequently asked questions
Where do appointments take place?
Online, by secure video call. We do not have a Bristol clinic or any in-person appointments, so you can join from home, the office or anywhere with a reliable connection.
Does my cycle commute count as training?
From an energy point of view, yes. Regular commuting adds to your total load, so we include it when we work out what and when you need to eat, especially on days with extra training.
Can you help with fuelling for long swims?
Yes. We can help you plan what to eat before and after swims and, for longer events, how to take on fuel and fluid during the swim where that is allowed.
What are the signs I might be under-fuelling?
Common signs include persistent tiredness, frequent illness or injury, changes to your periods and performance that stalls despite training. These can have several causes, and a dietitian can help you work out whether energy availability is part of the picture.
Can I use my private health insurance?
We accept Bupa UK, AXA, Vitality, Aviva, WPA, Healix and Cigna UK, subject to your policy and pre-authorisation. Please confirm your cover with your insurer before booking.
