Online sports dietitian for footballers and athletes in Glasgow

Practical, evidence-based sports nutrition for footballers, gym athletes and runners across Glasgow, delivered online by HCPC-registered dietitians and sports nutrition practitioners.

Nutrition for a football city

Football runs through Glasgow, from academy and amateur leagues to midweek five-a-side after work. Alongside it sits a strong gym, boxing and combat sports scene, plus a growing number of runners and cyclists. Whatever you play, what you eat around training and matches affects how you perform, recover and stay available for selection.

We work with you to understand your sport, position or event, training week and any health concerns, then translate the evidence into food choices you can repeat. That might mean match-day timing for a Saturday kick-off, recovery after evening training, or a realistic approach to body composition that does not cost you energy on the pitch.

Plenty of Glaswegians train around shifts, early starts or long commutes. Because every consultation is online, you can join from home or work, with no travel time eating into rest or training. We then review and adjust your plan at follow-up sessions as fixtures, training or work patterns change.

Frequently asked questions

Are appointments held in Glasgow?

No. We are an online-only practice, so every consultation is by secure video call. That means you can work with us from anywhere in Glasgow or the West of Scotland without travelling.

What should I eat before a match?

It depends on kick-off time, your position and how your stomach copes with food before exercise. We help you plan meals and snacks for the hours before a game, and adjust them with you until you find what works.

Can you help me make weight safely for a combat sport?

Yes. We take a planned, gradual approach that protects your health and performance, rather than last-minute extreme cuts. If there are signs of under-fuelling or disordered eating, your health takes priority.

I work shifts. Can you still help me train well?

Yes. We look at your rota, sleep and training times, then plan when and what to eat so you have energy for sessions and recover well, whichever shift you are on.

Will my health insurance cover sessions?

It may. We accept Bupa UK, AXA, Vitality, Aviva, WPA, Healix and Cigna UK, subject to your policy and pre-authorisation, so please ask your insurer to confirm cover for dietetic consultations before booking.
