Online sports dietitian for athletes in Nottingham

Specialist online sports nutrition for rowers, paddlers, student-athletes and runners in Nottingham and the East Midlands, planned around early starts, study and work.

Sports nutrition for Nottingham athletes

Nottingham has an unusually varied sporting life. The River Trent supports rowing, canoeing and kayaking, the city has long-standing cricket and football traditions, and ice hockey draws a loyal following. Two large universities also bring thousands of student-athletes who often train early, study late and cook on a tight budget.

That mix creates very different nutrition needs. A rower doing a pre-dawn session needs a different plan from a hockey player training at night or a runner fitting miles around a commute. Our HCPC-registered dietitians and sports nutrition practitioners start with your timetable and build from there.

University sport is a particular strength: our founder, Jenaed Ruddock, is Lead Sports Dietitian for Imperial College London and Cambridge University. All of our support is delivered online, so you can book a session between lectures, shifts or training without travelling.

Frequently asked questions

Can students in Nottingham book with you?

Yes. Adult students book in the same way as any other client, and sessions run online so they fit around lectures and training. We keep plans realistic for student budgets and kitchens.

I row in a lightweight boat. Can you help?

Yes. Weight-sensitive sports carry a higher risk of low energy availability, so we focus on fuelling training properly and protecting your long-term health while you compete.

How do I fuel early morning training?

It depends on the session, your gut and how early you start. We help you find options that suit you, from a small snack before training to a planned breakfast and recovery afterwards.

Are appointments face to face?

No. All Nutrition & Co appointments are online by secure video call. That means no travel across the city and more flexibility with timings.

Do you only work with athletes?

Sport is our main focus, but we also offer online clinical support for IBS, eating disorders and disordered eating, RED-S and other conditions. Our team will match you to the right practitioner.
