Nutrition support for endometriosis

Endometriosis is a long-term condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows elsewhere, often in the pelvis. It can cause pain, heavy periods, fatigue and gut symptoms such as bloating, constipation or diarrhoea.

Diet cannot cure endometriosis, and research on specific diets is still limited. Some people find that adjusting their diet helps with gut symptoms, which often overlap with IBS, and with energy and overall wellbeing.

A dietitian helps you try changes safely and in a structured way, without cutting out food groups unnecessarily, and works alongside the medical care from your GP or gynaecologist.

Questions

Can diet cure endometriosis?

No. Diet cannot cure endometriosis, but it may help some people manage gut symptoms and energy alongside medical treatment.

Should I go gluten-free or dairy-free?

Not without guidance. Evidence is limited, and cutting out food groups can affect your nutrition. We help you test changes in a structured way.

Does a low FODMAP diet help?

It can help gut symptoms that overlap with IBS. It should be done with a dietitian and includes a reintroduction stage.

Will you work with my gynaecologist?

Yes. With your consent, we keep your medical team informed.

Are consultations online?

Yes. All consultations are by secure video, across the UK.
